Scientific Day Abstract

General abstract information and instructions for abstract submission:

 

  1. Download the abstract template here.
  2. Open the document using Microsoft Word or a compatible word processor.
  3. Enter the abstract title, which is limited to 70 characters (including spaces). You can use the "Word Count" feature on your word processor to facilitate counting.
  4. Enter the presenters' names in the appropriate locations on the abstract template. If there is only one presenter, please leave the second presenter's information blank. This also applies to the second or third advisors. Save the document as "LastName abstract.doc", where LastName is your last name.
  5. View an example of a submitted abstract.
  6. The body of the abstract should be limited to 2,000 characters (including spaces). You can use the "Word Count" feature on your word processor to facilitate counting. Please make the abstract as informative as possible.
  7. When you have completed your abstract, submit it to your mentor for revision and approval.
  8. The approved abstract must be e-mailed by your faculty mentor to Luellen Chenoweth by 4 pm on March 3, 2017. This must be done as assurance that your abstract has been reviewed and approved by your faculty mentor.
  9. The abstract will appear in the Scientific Day Abstract Book exactly as it is submitted.
