Windows XP - Important Message

Special Statement Regarding Windows XP

As many of you may have already heard, Windows XP will no longer be supported by Microsoft starting in April 2014.  This means that no security patches will be available after that date and will leave your computer vulnerable to viruses and other attacks. After the end-of-support date, any Windows XP computer that is corrupted by a virus or other exploit will be blocked from the HSC campus network.

In order to avoid this possibility, we strongly recommend an upgrade to a Microsoft-supported operating system for all Windows computers by the end-of-life date for Windows XP. In order to support this, the university has a contract with Microsoft to provide FREE upgrades to supported Windows operating systems.  If you are currently running Windows XP, you can click on the link below to obtain the software necessary to begin the upgrade process for your Windows computer.
