Thank you for your interest in becoming a patient in the student program at the OU College of Dentistry. In the student program, patients are treated by dental students under the direct supervision of faculty. Patients are selected to be treated in the student program based on the educational needs of our students. The quality of patient-centered care provided in the student clinics regularly meets established standard of care for the practice of dentistry, but treatment does take some time. Patients may be seen in the Adult Clinic, Pediatric (Children's) Clinic or the Dental Hygiene Clinic.
Becoming a patient in one of the student clinics means you will receive low-cost quality care in an educational environment. Fees in the Student Clinics are discounted, so you can maximize the benefits of health care insurance. The cost is usually one-third the cost of the fees charged at a private dental practice.
To schedule a screening appointment in the Adult Clinic or the Dental Hygiene Clinic, please complete the Prospective Patient Form. Once the Prospective Patient Information Form is complete, a representative from the Communications Center will contact you with more information. If you have questions about completing the Prospective Patient Information Form, please call the Communications Center at (405) 271-7744.
