                      (If your dental school does not rank and does not have a GPA, please ask them to explain their evaluation process.)
                 b.  Three letters of recommendation, one of which may be the Dean's letter.
                 c.  Official National Board Results
                 d.  Curriculum Vitae
                 e.  Statement about applicant’s interest in Periodontics and in our OU Periodontal Graduate program.


International dental gradutes
Application Instructions for international applicants with equivalent dental degree

               1.  Apply on line using the Graduate College main web page directions or directly to
                    https://apps.ouhsc.edu/admissions         
               2.  The following documents are needed:
                             a.  Online application printed form
                             b.  $65 application fee
                             c.  Official college and dental school transcripts or marksheet evaluated course by course through 
                                  World Education Services – Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (WES). The Office of Admissions and 
                                  Records will accept ONLY WES credential evaluation from International applicants. Click here for the World

          d.  Statement about applicants interest in Periodontics and in the OU Periodontal Graduate Program
          e.  * TOEFL scores are required for applicants where the native language is not English.
               Minimum score 79 (internet based), 213 (computer based), and 550 (paper based).
          f.  Letter from financial private or government institution stating the availability of funds and/or financial support 
               for all initial fees, tuition, clinical fees, courses, required instruments and equipment, health and life insurance and all 
               living expenses and cost necessary for completion of this program.
          g.  The Periodontal program for international applicants will start June 1st for appropriate introduction to all necessary 
               clinical protocols and required electronic, infection control, CPR, OSHA and HIPPA training.

*TOEFL is not needed for foreign applicants who have a DDS or DMD degree from a recognized US-Coda dental school.

General Information about MS Periodontics Program

1.  Duration: Three years (36 months)
2.  Starting date: July 1
3.  Number of residents per year: Two (2)
4.  Total Credits for completion of MS Periodontics program : 78 credits
5.  Tuition and Fees:
      a.  In-State (OK) residents – approximate $5,000.00/year ($175.20 credit/hour).
      b.  Out-of-State (non OK residents) – approximate $18,000.00/year ($675.20 per credit hour)
      The most current tuition and fees for semester hour can be obtained from the OUHSC Admissions and Records Office.
6.  Equipment and books; Specific equipment will be required before the graduate student starts in our OU MS Periodontics
       Program.
     a.  Equipment for proper clinical photography – camera, retractors, contraster etc.
     b.  Books
     c.  AAP student membership and SWSP student membership
     d.  Periodontal and clinical instruments
     e.  Travel expenses to attend at least two annual meetings - AAP and SWSP meetings.
     f.  Other department and clinical fees may also apply.
