Program History
Since being founded in 1981, the Graduate Orthodontic Program has bestowed
masters degrees on over 100 graduates. Of those, two have gone on to become
orthodontic department chairs at other institutions, while another is director
of a graduate program in orthodontics. There are 4 serving as full-time
faculty members (50% or more). The department is committed to advancing orthodontic knowledge
through research. Since its founding, the department has published over 75 articles
in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 15
in the Angle Orthodontist, and 35 in other orthodontic and basic science
journals.
