Program Overview

The Graduate Orthodontic Program is housed in the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The graduate program in orthodontics was established in 1981 to meet the needs of education, patient care, and research in the field of orthodontics. The program prepares qualified dentists to manage the full range of dentofacial discrepancies which fall within the responsibility of the orthodontist. State of the art knowledge and research findings are applied to patient care in all age groups. Students learn a variety of treatment modalities under the supervision of experienced and outstanding faculty. A Masters thesis is required. The program leads to a Master of Science degree with Orthodontics as the area of specialization.
