Chapter 7, Slide 3 Fusion of reduced enamel epithelium and oral mucosa
Just prior to the tooth breaking through the oral mucosa, the reduced enamel epithelium fuses with the oral mucosa. The mucosa at the site of eruption will form the gingival epithelium.
