Pre-dental Clinical Simulation Course 2012

Class Schedule:

• 7:30AM - Registration and Breakfast (Commons - 1st Floor)

• 8:00AM - Lecture: Tooth Morphology & Impressions / Lecture on Cavity Preps / Cavity Insertions (Rm 108)

• 9:00AM - Lab Exercises: Make impressions on typodonts; Pour impressions in plaster; Build teeth in wax (Rm 433)

• 10:45AM - Lecture: Application and personal statement review (Room 108)

• 11:30AM - Admissions Update: Latest information on the College and the admission process with Dr. Jones (Rm 540)

• 12:00PM - Lunch Q & A Session with Student Panel (Room 540)

• 1:00PM - Lab Exercises
Students rotate through 5 stations (20 minutes each)


Station 1: Cavity Preps - Prep 2 teeth (1 amalgam, 1 composite)
Station 2: Cavity Insertions - Fill 2 teeth (1 amalgam, 1 composite)
Station 3: Casting Demonstraton - Spruing, Investing, Burnout, and Casting a Crown
Station 4: Diagnosis with x-rays
Station 5: Tour of Dental School
