Programs Offered
The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry offers accredited training programs for dentists and dental hygienists.
The Dental Program is a four-year curriculum designed to prepare competent dentists. Successful completion of the program leads to a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
The Dental Hygiene Program is a two-year curriculum built upon a minimum pre-requite of two years (60 semester hours) of previous undergraduate coursework. Successful completion of the program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
In addition, several advanced post-doctoral programs are offered as part of the College of Dentistry. These include a 30-month M.S. program in Orthodontics, a 36-month M.S. program in Periodontics, a four-year hospital-based residency in Oral Surgery, and a one-year residency program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
