Background Checks

All dental students are required to pass a criminal background review in order to fulfill the program requirements of the OU College of Dentistry.

An essential part of the curriculum includes assigned rotations and externships at health care facilities where background checks are mandatory for security purposes. Students must submit to and pass a background check as a condition for participating in these requisite training experiences and ultimately meeting the requirements for a DDS degree.
