Application Checklist for non-Oklahoma residents
Non-residents may apply through the American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS). Oklahoma residents may also elect to use this central application service, particularly if they are applying to more than one dental school. AADSAS information, including application forms and instructions, is available on the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) website at www.adea.org.
The following items are required by AADSAS in order to complete your application. Once completed, your applicant data is distributed to the AADSAS-participating dental schools you have specified. In order to be considered by the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, your application must be received by AADSAS no later than September 1.
Items submitted to AADSAS according to their instructions:
- AADSAS Dental School Application - The 2008 AADSAS Dental School Application is available in mid-May.
- Official Transcript(s) - Official transcripts from each college or university attended showing all coursework attempted and completed.
- Letters of Recommendation
1. A letter from a dentist
2. A recommendation mailed directly from your institution's Pre-professional Advisory Committee is preferred. In lieu of a committee recommendation, two (2) letters of recommendation from science instructors are acceptable.

- Application Fee $65 (non-refundable) - An application fee is required by our institution. This is separate from and in addition to the AADSAS application fee. Please mail a check made payable to OUHSC to the address below. (Please indicate the full legal name of the applicant on the check to ensure proper credit.)
- Updated Transcripts - Arrangements should be made to have updated transcripts sent as additional coursework is completed.
- DAT Scores - An official report of scores from the Dental Admission Testing Program transmitted directly from the American Dental Association (simply request a score report be provided to our school when you take the test).
Application Deadline: September 1, 2007
This is the date by which AADSAS must receive your application.
