Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA)
The Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) is committed to bridging the gap between providers and the Hispanic community by promoting oral health, cultural humility, and clinical excellence. Our goals include:
Community Engagement and Service:
To serve the oral health needs of the Hispanic community through volunteer events, health fairs, and community outreach.
Dental Education:
To provide academic support, mentorship, and educational resources for students interested in dentistry and dental hygiene.
Spanish for Healthcare Professionals:
To provide opportunities for students to learn and practice Spanish in a clinical context to better serve a diverse patient population.
Cultural and Social Events:
To celebrate and share Hispanic culture and create a sense of community among members.
Advocacy:
To advocate for policies and initiatives that promote diversity and address oral health disparities.
