Campus Life
The College of Dentistry is strategically situated in the heart of a vibrant, attractive and well-appointed Health Sciences campus environment. An internationally prominent faculty, state-of-the-art facilities and new technology combine to make the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center a leader in education, research and patient care. The campus includes seven colleges and is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation. Additional colleges include: the College of Allied Health; the College of Medicine; the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing; the College of Pharmacy and the College of Public Health. The OU Health Sciences Center serves approximately 4,000 students in more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs on campuses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Dental students have convenient extended-hours access to both the Robert M. Bird Library, with its vast study areas and media resources as well as the David L. Boren Student Union, with its facilities for fitness, student services, dining and leisure. Adjacent to the College of Dentistry is the Basic Sciences Education Building that houses research, laboratory and classroom space. Two blocks away are the on-campus Village Apartments for students who wish to live within walking-distance from campus.

Oklahoma City offers all of the culture, cuisine, attractions and amenities you'd expect in a modern metropolis and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Our campus is just a few minutes from the city center and nearby Bricktown, an early-day warehouse area transformed into one of the fastest growing entertainment district in the Southwest. Next door is the Chesapeake Energy Arena, home to the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team, live concerts and world-class events.
