Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery offers a four-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a one-year fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate/Craniofacial Surgery, a one-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Internship and a one-week Oral & Maxillofacial Externship.

Cleft & Craniofacial Fellowship

The one-year Cleft Lip and Palate/Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship is intimately involved with the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Program and the fellow's primary duties include being responsible for cases done that involve cleft lip and palate, distraction osteogenesis, craniofacial surgery, and other major facial deformities. 


The four-year Residency program offers a comprehensive postgraduate residency training that encompasses the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.


The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery occasionally offers a one-year internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery that is intimately associated with the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program. 


The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery offers a one-week (minimum) externship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The externship is designed to give undergraduate dental students exposure to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through office-based and hospital Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery experiences.
