The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry recently hosted the Discovering Dentistry Symposium presented by the non-profit organization, Planet Smilez, to inspire and educate middle and high school students about careers in dentistry as part of an effort to address critical workforce gaps and improve access to care in underserved communities.

Two hundred and twelve University of Oklahoma students eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average throughout their academic program at OU. Of the total, 140 reside in Oklahoma.

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry held its 44th Annual Scientific Day on Thursday, March 27. This event offers dental and dental hygiene students and residents the opportunity to present the culmination of their research projects. Faculty and area dentists and hygienists also attended, allowing students and residents to network and meet future colleagues.
