Fairfax Medical Facilities, Inc. ("FMFI") is seeking a Dentist to add to our practice. FMFI currently has three active rural locations in Fairfax, Hominy and Newkirk, Oklahoma and is in the process of opening a fourth location in Ponca City, Oklahoma. The Dentist would have a "home" location in Newkirk, OK but would have to be willing to travel in the Hominy, OK location to accommodate our patients, as needed. NATURE OF POSITION Performs professional general dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. QUALIFICATIONS A. Current license to practice dentistry in the state of Oklahoma. B. Current DEA registration and current OBNDD certificate in the state of Oklahoma. C. Graduate of formal accredited school of dentistry. D. Working knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of dental and oral diseases. E. Working knowledge of the principles, standard practices methods, and techniques of dentistry. F. Working knowledge of the preventative dentistry and educational methodologies utilized in prevention. G. Skill in oral operative techniques H. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patient and staff. I. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification. RESPONSIBILITIES A. Provides preventative clinical services, including but not limited to: prophylaxis of teeth, sealants, oral hygiene education, baby bottle tooth decay education, radiographs, topical fluoride applications, impressions, coronal polishing, amalgam polishing, and root planning and curettage B. Provides emergency clinical services, including but not limited to: extractions, incisive and drain infections, prescribes medications as needed and treatment of oral trauma as appropriate with HRSA approved in scope services. C. Provides restorative clinical services, including but not limited to: amalgams, composites, crowns, prosthetics and endodontics as appropriate with HRSA approved in scope services.. D. Diagnosis of dental and oral diseases. E. Educates patients, including but not limited to: baby bottle tooth decay to maternity patients and young mothers, and the importance of oral hygiene and prevention of decay to all patient. F. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
