Dr. Mark Gilstrap is a Pediatric Dentist that lives in Jenks, OK with his wife and 3 daughters and dog. He was born and raised in central California and attended Brigham Young University after serving a church mission in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Mark attended dental school at Roseman College of Dental Medicine, where he grew even more passionate about working with kids! He then returned to Colorado to complete his pediatric dental residency at The Children's Hospital of Colorado. Needing a change of pace, Dr. Mark and his family moved to Oklahoma in 2020 and they have fully embraced all the wonderful parts of Oklahoma. 

As a child, Dr. Mark enjoyed going to the dentist, especially when he could hold the mirror during his check-up! He just wanted to see what was going on! After high school, he had the opportunity to work as a pediatric dental assistant and realized he could be a kid his whole life. 

Dr. Mark believes that a crucial part of dentistry is education and prevention. Knowing the why and making a plan for the how puts the pieces together for kids and adults alike. Being able to prevent cavities always makes the dentist more fun! 

Having a daughter with Spina Bifida has given Dr. Mark a soft spot for kids with disabilities of all kinds and a passion to provide the best care possible. Every kid deserves a dentist that can meet their needs and understands their specific challenges. 

Off the clock Dr. Mark loves traveling the world with his family and making memories with his kids. His most recent obsession is triathlon racing. He has a long-standing love affair with good food and welcomes ALL recommendations and food based rewards.
