Dr. Steven Sullivan completed his dental training at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1983. He then underwent oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Oklahoma, completing the program in 1988.
His international training experiences included the West of Scotland Plastic and Oral Surgery Unit in Glasgow Scotland, as well as the University of Melbourne and Royal Children’s Hospital as a fellow in the Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery unit in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Sullivan was appointed Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Oklahoma in 1992. He has served on the examination committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, has been President of the Oklahoma Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the AAOMS Committee on Residency Education and Training.
His practice is devoted to surgical correction of dentofacial deformities, and temporomandibular joint reconstruction. Dr. Sullivan lectures nationally and internationally on these topics.
