Inspiring Women's History Month Event in Partnership with ReMerge

The OU College of Dentistry proudly celebrated Women’s History Month by bringing together female dental and dental hygiene students, esteemed alumnae, and industry leaders for an engaging panel discussion. The event, held on March 13 at The Lume in Oklahoma City, featured accomplished alumnae who shared their personal journeys, challenges, and successes in the dental profession.

This empowering gathering was more than just a networking opportunity—it was a platform for mentorship, growth, and philanthropy. In collaboration with ReMerge, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers facing non-violent felony charges in Oklahoma County, the College of Dentistry reinforced its commitment to community impact. ReMerge provides high-risk, high-need mothers with life-changing resources, treatment, and support, helping break the cycles of incarceration, addiction, and poverty.

Dr. Rambob, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of supporting women both within the dental profession and beyond:
"Our mission extends beyond education; it’s about uplifting and empowering women in all walks of life. By partnering with ReMerge, we’re not just celebrating Women’s History Month—we’re actively shaping a better future for these mothers and their families."

The event featured hors d’oeuvres, engaging discussions, and inspiring stories, fostering a sense of camaraderie among attendees. While registration quickly filled, the College of Dentistry looks forward to hosting more events that blend professional development with community outreach.
