Dr. Jeff Rhodes traces his roots back to Dallas, TX, where his dentist, a dual-trained specialist in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, kindled his lifelong professional passions. His educational journey took him to Austin College in Sherman, TX, where he obtained a degree in German and immersed himself in a year of international study. He graduated with his doctor of dental surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 1988, and acquired his specialty designation in pediatric dentistry also at Baylor College of Dentistry. His internships were at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.  His special interest is in understanding and treating growing children's faces and teeth. He presented his research on early facial growth issues at the International Academy of Dental Research meeting in Acapulco, MX in 1991. He has continued to be interested in, learn about and teach managing the developing occlusion.

Dr. Rhodes practices at Smile Shoppe Pediatric Dentistry, a pediatric group practice in Northwest Arkansas. An active contributor to organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Pediatric Orthodontic and Guidance of Occlusion Academy.  He has earned designations as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of The American College of Dentists. He recently completed the Leadership Institute at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.  Having taught pediatric dentistry at the NYU Langone program in Springfield, Mo, Dr Rhodes is very excited to teach at University of Oklahoma Pediatric Dental Program. 

Beyond his professional achievements, he enjoys actives in the great outdoors of Arkansas and Colorado and spending time with his wife and adult sons and families.
