In accordance with Center for Disease Control (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA) and Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) guidelines, beginning Monday, March 23 through Friday, April 17, the OU College of Dentistry will only see patients needing emergency care. We are contacting patients with non-emergent appointments through April 17 to reschedule their appointments.

In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Oklahoma, the college is no longer allowing visitors to accompany adult patients to their appointments. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for adult patients who require assistance from a guardian or caregiver. Pediatric patients (i.e., patients who are 18 years of age or younger) may be accompanied by one adult visitor.

Clinic waiting rooms are for patients only. Visitors will be seated in chairs provided in the hallway and asked to maintain social distancing (6 feet) from other visitors.

The college is taking the COVID-19 epidemic seriously and will continue to monitor and make adjustments to our clinic operations as needed. The health of our patients, students, faculty and staff is of the utmost importance. Should the need arise to reschedule appointments beyond April 3, patients will be contacted directly.

If you are a patient in need of emergency care, please call (405) 271-7744.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a patient at the OU College of Dentistry. The OU College of Dentistry offers various types of care--all in one place. Becoming a patient in one of the student clinics means you will receive low-cost quality care in an educational environment. Fees in the Comprehensive Care and Specialty Care clinics are discounted, so you can maximize the benefits of health care insurance. The cost is usually one-third the cost of the fees charged at a private dental practice. Feel free to explore the different options available, as each is different.
