Division Head, Community Dentistry

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor to serve as the Division Head for Community Dentistry within the Department of Diagnostic & Preventive Sciences. Reporting to the Department Chair, this role involves teaching courses in Community Dentistry, Evidence-Based Dentistry, and Senior Externship, as well as overseeing externship rotations for DDS students.

This position coordinates schedules of patients in an outpatient clinic and provides clerical assistance toward the smooth operation of the facility. Answers telephones and documents patient information. Obtains patient demographics on new patients and updates demographics on established patients. Prepares and enters healthcare providers schedules into the computer. Coordinates schedules as directed to patient requiring multiple services. Greets patients as they come into the clinic for scheduled appointments. Schedules patient appointments either by telephone or in person. Balances and closes cash box daily. Prepares ancillary forms for other services, to include but not limited to x-rays, vascular studies, etc. May prepare and type daily deposits. Prints and faxes physician schedules to offices.

Prior building maintenance or laboratory support experience is desired.

EHR Applications Analyst - Dental Informatics

The EHR Application Analyst will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record system.  Assists the organization in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the organization's needs.  Responsible for learning the EHR system's capabilities and functional use and apply knowledge of Healthcare Business workflow to assist in the implementation of a system that meets process needs.

Designs and delivers curriculum, professional learning experiences, and college readiness activities, using diverse instructional approaches tailored to objectives and learner needs. Develops and evaluates online learning resources, integrating emerging technologies to engage remote learners. Conducts needs assessments, applies learner-centered methods, and measures program effectiveness through appropriate evaluation techniques. Manages projects, facilitates documentation, and conducts literature reviews to support evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.

Instructional Technologist

The college of dentistry is seeking an experienced Instructional Technologist to support the college and our Academic Affairs initiatives. This position will assist with the design, development, administration and troubleshooting of the Canvas Learning Management System, script and/or source code to support applications, and web development and website maintenance, as necessary.  Develops and implements professional learning and sustained improvement on the use of instructional technology through a variety of applications and across a variety of positions. Crafts, delivers, and supports technological innovation across curriculum for students, professional learning experiences for educators, and college and career readiness activities for all stakeholders.
