Dr. Whitney Yeates was born and raised in Mississippi. She attended Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Yeates earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City to further her dental education by completing a one year General Practice Residency at the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. Following completion of residency, Dr. Yeates worked in private practice.
Dr. Yeates joined the OU Children's Physician's Dental Clinic and GPR faculty as Assistant Director in 2016. She also joined the OU College of Dentistry faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor. In 2017, Dr. Yeates was name the Director of the GPR Program and OUCP Dental Clinic. She is involved with multiple committees within professional organizations, as well as, on the OU Medical Center Campus.
