Dr. Douglas Rockwood pursued his higher education in Wisconsin, and joined the United States Air Force as a dental officer in 1980. Following 27 years of active duty service, including 17 years spent teaching in AEGD programs, he retired at the rank of Colonel. He then joined the OU faculty in 2008 and currently serves as one of nine Group Practice Directors in the Department of Comprehensive Care. He has been active in organized dentistry including a term as President of the USAF AGD Constituent, 16 years for service on the AGD Fellowship examination committee and is a current member on the Dental Assisting National Board.
