Lieutenant Governor Visits the OU College of Dentistry

In an effort to increase awareness of the growing need for affordable oral healthcare throughout the State of Oklahoma, leaders from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the OU College of Dentistry had the honor of hosting Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell on Thursday, July 13.

Paul M. Mullasseril, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the college, had the opportunity to show off the state’s only dental school. The tour covered academic areas, clinics, and the college’s research facility. The Lieutenant Governor had the opportunity to see recently renovated comprehensive care clinics as well as areas the college is looking to renovate in the future.

“The OU College of Dentistry is pleased to welcome Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to our school and our campus,” said Paul M. Mullasseril, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the college. “One of our primary goals at the College of Dentistry is to make oral healthcare more accessible and more affordable for the people of Oklahoma. One way to accomplish that objective is by ensuring academics, state leaders, and the dental profession work together to overcome common barriers to care.”
