If selected, you will be one of an elite group of only 5-7 residents to participate in this advanced program. The hours in the AEGD Program for residents are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for occasional didactic sessions, which may occur before or after these hours.  Residents may need to work beyond these hours, if needed, to keep up with patient records, treatment planning or lab work.  Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and are expected to be on time and to maintain a professional appearance.

Residents will attend all classes, seminars, lectures, and meetings that are scheduled by the director of the program.  These may occasionally include evening or weekend sessions that are important supplements to the program. Additionally, the residents are encouraged to give back to the community by volunteering at Crossings Community Clinic one day a month. The program starts on the first week of July and ends on the last week of June of the following year. No time off is allowed in the month of July or during orientation.

As a participant in the program, there is no tuition, instead, you will receive a stipend of $30,000 for one year program. For second year residents, you will receive a stipend of $40,000. In addition, you will receive health and professional liability insurance coverage and are entitled to 10 days of paid time off during the year.

At this time, AEGD only takes from applicants from CODA Accredited schools in the US and Canada. AEGD is unable to obtain or sponsor visas for international applicants. The applicant will be responsible for obtaining their own visa and/or other travel documentation.
