In accordance with Women's History Month, The College of Dentistry’s Student Affairs and External Affairs team is hosting an event with a philanthropic organization called ReMerge.
ReMerge serves mothers of minor children who are facing non-violent felony charges in Oklahoma County. Participants are referred by the District Attorney’s office. ReMerge mothers are high-risk, high-need, meaning that without substantial treatment and support, they are unlikely to break the cycles of incarceration, addiction, and poverty. ReMerge utilizes evidence-based treatment and programming to provide individualized, wrap-around services for mothers and their families. Find more information about ReMerge here.
We are asking for donations from ReMerge’s Amazon wishlist to provide necessities for these working moms. You can bring your items to the Dean’s Office from now until the date of the event scheduled March 13, or bring to the event when you attend. Thank you for your consideration!
