Prospective Students

Thank you for your interest in the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Whether you are just beginning your path to a career in dentistry or are interested in one of our postdoctoral programs, we invite you to explore what the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry has to offer. As the only doctor of dental surgery program and one of three dental hygiene programs in Oklahoma, the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry is on the forefront of training our students to become dental professionals.

Dental hygienists and dentists are the two professions for which a degree is provided at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.  Upon graduation, a state license is required which requires attending an accredited dental program and pass examinations administered by a state governing body for the dental profession.

The College also offers five postdoctoral programs; Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Graduate Orthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency, Pediatric Dentistry Residency (housed in the University of Oklahoma Children's Hospital), and Graduate Periodontics.
