Specialty Care

The College of Dentistry post-graduate care clinics use advanced methods and cutting-edge technology to deliver the best care possible to our patients. Each patient receives expert consultations and care, quickly and easily

Patients come to OU from all over to take advantage of our advanced specialty services led by world-class residents and faculty. Our approach is to provide patients with integrated and coordinated care in one location--and our patients appreciate the value and convenience this offers.

In our post-graduate clinics, licensed dentists work under the supervision of dental faculty specialists to provide oral health care to patients. The post-graduate clinics are Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), General Practice Residency, Orthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontics. While treatments in these clinics cost more than in the student dental clinics, they are typically less than a standard private practice.

Orthodontics

Orthodontic treatments help move teeth that are crooked or that do not fit together correctly. By fixing these problems, orthodontic treatment helps keep your mouth healthy as well as restoring your beautiful smile. The College of Dentistry offers the highest standards of orthodontic care in a comfortable setting.

Screening exams are held year-round to determine if potential patients have orthodontic needs suitable for treatment at the Graduate Orthodontic Clinic. We screen and accept patients year-round, however, treatments usually begin during summer or fall.

Current fees for comprehensive treatment in the program are $3,800.00 for anyone under the age of 21, and $4,000.00 for anyone over the age of 21.
